Specific Skills
- The ideal candidate must have proven experience in maintenance management (hospitality experience preferred), strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and general building systems, basic project management experience.
- Valid driver’s license.

Responsible For
- Property & Infrastructure Maintenance:
- Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance of guest rooms and public areas.
- Staff accommodation
- Kitchens, laundry, and service areas
- Electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
- Boreholes, pumps, water systems, and irrigation
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, equipment, and grounds
- Team Management:
- Supervise maintenance staff and external contractors
- Allocate daily tasks and monitor performance
- Provide training and ensure compliance with safety standards
- Manage duty rosters and standby schedules
- Procurement & Stock Control:
- Source and procure maintenance supplies and equipment
- Manage maintenance inventory and stores
- Obtain competitive quotations and manage supplier relationships
- Control maintenance budget and monitor expenses
- Compliance & Safety:
- Ensure compliance with occupational Health & Safety regulations
- Fire safety standards
- Environmental regulations
- Maintain fire equipment, alarms, and emergency systems
- Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments
- Grounds & Environmental Management:
- Oversee landscaping and grounds maintenance
- Ensure proper waste management practices
- Monitor water usage and implement sustainability initiatives
- Guest Experience Support:
- Respond promptly to guest maintenance concerns
- Ensure minimal disruption during repairs
- Maintain high presentation standards throughout the property
Additional Requirements
- This role is responsible for ensuring that all buildings, infrastructure, equipment, and grounds are maintained to the highest hospitality standards, while ensuring safety, compliance, and operational efficiency at all times.
- The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting exceptional guest experiences by minimizing downtime and ensuring the property remains fully functional, safe, and well-presented.
